Shorter Trump: 1. Women are sexual objects. 2. If one opposes me, I will jail her.

OK, I don’t have time to write a long diary before work—so this will be short-- but I wanted to get this off my chest. Later today, I’m going to volunteering for my fantastic Democratic House candidate in NY-19, Zephyr Teachout. It’s better for me to focus on House races in NY, because Hillary has NY in her hip pocket anyway. This a very winnable House seat—so let’s WIN it. I am going to be working with extra zeal because of last night’s debate.

Anyway, I woke up this morning feeling absolutely furious because in my troubled sleep I put two and two together. I realized that over the past two days Donald Trump has told us two things about himself that we must never forget, and that we must never allow potential voters to forget:

1. On Friday, Trump told us that women are sexual objects who should compliantly submit to sexual assault.

2. On Sunday, Trumphe told us that if a woman dares to oppose him in an election, he will make it his business to send her to jail.

The sexual assaults he confessed to on Friday are criminal actions. So would be the sending of a political opponent to prison—this would also be a blatant violation of our constitution. The fact that these are both directed against a woman, because she is a woman, make them work. Each of these statements is bad enough in itself. Put them together, and you have a portrait of a violent abuser-- an abuser who would commit illegal and unconstitutional actions for his own gratification, and who is actually proclaiming this while asking for our vote.

This just sickens me. We cannot allow this man to be president. And I am impressed once again by the courage and determination of Hillary Clinton. She is literally risking prison for us and our nation.
